We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
