Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
