Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
