Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
