He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 And He hath subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Verily therein are signs for a people who understand. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
