Did you not see that We sent devils upon the disbelievers, so they excite them abundantly? 83 So make no haste against them (O Muhammad). We do but number unto them a sum (of days). 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 no one will be able to intercede for the others except those whom the Beneficent God has given authority. 87 They claim: "The Most Compassionate Lord has taken a son to Himself." 88 Surely, you have brought a monstrous thing! 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 because they ascribe a son to the Gracious One. 91 When it does not behove the Merciful to have a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Verily those who believe and do righteous works - anon the Compassionate shall appoint for them affection. 96 We have made it easy in your own tongue in order that you proclaim the glad tidings to the cautious and give warning to a stubborn nation. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
