The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 who guard their privates, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Those are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
