And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark; 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 Should We so wish, We can drown them, and there will be none to heed their cries of distress, nor will they be rescued. 43 Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
