Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
