S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an full of admonition. 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles, 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 There was none of them but called the apostles liars, so just was My retribution. 14
