Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
