We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. 47 And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. 56 I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. 60
