The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people together 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
