The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
