Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
