The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
