Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
