Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
