So when the envoys came to the household of Lot, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 “Therefore journey with your household while a portion of the night remains, and you tread behind them – and none of you may turn around and see, and proceed directly to the place you are commanded to.” 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
