The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
