The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 Allah! There is no god save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. 2 He hath revealed unto thee the Book with truth confirming that which went before it; and He sent down the Taurat and Injil. 3 Before this as guidance for men, and has sent the criterion (of falsehood and truth). As for those who deny the signs of God, the punishment is severe; for God is all powerful and great His requital. 4 Nothing in the earth and in the heavens is hidden from Allah. 5 It is He who forms you in the womb as He will. There is no god but He, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 6 It is He who has sent down the Book to you. Some of its verses are clear and precise in meaning, they are the basis of the Book, while others are allegorical. Those with deviation in their hearts pursue the allegorical, so as to create dissension by seeking to explain it: but no one knows its meaning except God. Those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say, "We believe in it: it is all from our Lord." But only the wise take heed. 7 “Our Lord! Do not deviate our hearts after You have guided us, and bestow mercy on us from Yourself; indeed You only are the Great Bestower.” 8 "O our Sustainer! Verily, Thou wilt gather mankind together to witness the Day about [the coming of] which there is no doubt: verily, God never fails to fulfil His promise." 9
