Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
