▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
