Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
