Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
