T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
