۞ [And God will thus command:] "Assemble all those who were bent on evildoing, together with others of their ilk and [with] all that they were wont to worship 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
