Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
