Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 In a lofty garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 and raised couches, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And linen spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
