And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
