The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
