We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
