Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
