Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
