The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
