The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
