We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
