Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
