Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 As for the believers who do good works and believe in what is sent down to Muhammad which is the truth from their Lord He will acquit them of their sins and repair their condition. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. 3 Now when ye meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until when ye have slain them greatly, then make fast the bonds; then, thereafter let them off either freely or by ransom, until the war layeth down the burthens thereof. That ye shall do. And had Allah willed, He would have vindicated Himself against them, but He ordained fighting in order that He may prove you one by the other. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 and He will admit them to Paradise, that He has made known to them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 As to those who disbelieve, perdition lies in store for them and Allah has reduced their works to nought. 8 That is because they hated what Allah has sent down, so He annulled their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not journeyed in the land and seen the fate of those before them? Destroyed they were utterly by God; and a similar (fate) awaits the unbelievers. 10 That is because Allah is patron of those who believe, and because the disbelievers have no patron. 11
