The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
