The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
