The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In outstretched columns. 9
