Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. 16 And We have kept it guarded from every outcast devil. 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers, and made all things grow upon it balanced evenly. 19 And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 We send fertilizing winds, and then cause rain to descend from the sky, providing you abundant water to drink even though you could not have stored it up for yourselves. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards. 24 Your Lord will resurrect them all; He is All-wise and All-knowing. 25
