Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
