O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease and the raisers of commotion in Madina desist not, We shall surely set thee up against them; thenceforth they shall not be suffered to neighbour thee therein except for a little while. 60 They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). 61 Such has been God's way with those who have gone before them. You shall find no change in the ways of God. 62 Men ask thee of the Hour. Say: The knowledge of it is with Allah only. What can convey (the knowledge) unto thee? It may be that the Hour is nigh. 63 Verily, God has rejected the deniers of the truth, and has readied for them a blazing fire, 64 They will live in it for ever, and will find no saviour or helper. 65 On that Day when their faces shall be turned around in the Fire, they will say: “Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger.” 66 And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (Right) Way. 67 O our Lord! give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse. 68
