O you who believe, seek courage in fortitude and prayer, for God is with those who are patient and persevere. 153 And say not of those slain in God's way, 'They are dead'; rather they are living, but you are not aware. 154 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, 155 Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ Safa and Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; there is nothing wrong if anyone goes on a pilgrimage to the House, or performs a minor pilgrimage, in walking to and fro between them. Of anyone who does good of his own accord, God is appreciative, and aware. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 But those who repent and reform and proclaim (the truth), are forgiven, for I am forgiving and merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving shall incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. 161 They will live condemned forever, will have no relief from the torment, and no attention will be paid to them. 162 AND YOUR GOD is the One God: there is no deity save Him, the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace. 163
