Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
