1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
