Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
