Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
